Post282.com was created as the public front-end to the Post282 Community Building system.

The idea was to create a site that was very simple to use, would showcase the actual system well enough to entice new users to create their own communities, and would represent the spirit of the project. The central idea was that Post282 communities are fun, private places for friends to socialize online.

One major component was the logo for the site. I played around with a lot of different ideas - the right design, however, was created by Eliane Pearce, a Dublin-based designer and friend, who knew I was creating this site and kindly offered me her idea for a logo.



Very nice.

I then adapted Eliane's design to give it the Web 2.0 feel I was looking for.



Little touches like the icons for the various services and so on were created as modified versions of the logo.



The final version of the site, integrated with the actual Post282 system is now live... So you can visit and see it for yourself!
